Description

House & Garden Bat Special Mix is a fertilised soil from Holland, mixing black and white peat with Perlite, lime and bat guano.

This premium Dutch soil combines Baltic white peat with black peat from Germany, both of which carry the RHP stamp which is the Dutch quality mark for substrates.

H&G then adds Perlite – expanded volcanic glass – to help with water retention and stop the soil compressing as much, as well as lime and bat guano which is naturally high in phosphorus and potassium.

House & Garden Bat Special Mix is not as heavily fertilised as Plagron BatMix and as such can be used as an alternative to light mix, however with very young seedlings and cuttings we would lean towards using a light mix to be on the safe side.

H&G Bat Mix has a pH of 6.4 and an EC of 1.2-1.5.
